Meet Dr. David
David Platzer is a bridge between worlds, a scientist and whose works employs different forms of healing. He is Constellations facilitator, anthropologist, and writer whose work spans from systems thinking, comparative human development, and the modern dynamics that shape our lives. He holds a Ph.D in Anthropology from Johns Hopkins, and MA in Comparative literature from UCSB. Annd before focusing on Constellations work, David worked in Adobe's Design Research and Strategy group and in other companies and think tanks, like the Berggruen Institute, as a researcher.
Over the years, David has studied extensively with leading practitioners in the international Constellations communities, including Leslie Nipps, Dan Cohen, Suzi Tucker, Stephan Hausner, Jan-Jacob Stam, Michelle Blechner, Francesca Mason Boring, and Svagito Liebermeister, amongst others.
Drawing on his background in anthropology and years of immersive Constellations training, he brings a distinctive perspective to facilitation, one that is attentive to the role of culture. He has also studied Ayurvedic modalities in India, as well as indigenous healing in Central and South America.
Born in Japan, David is known for his grounded, Zen-like presence, focused attention, and ability to perceive patterns within extremely complex human systems. David helps individuals, families, and organizations uncover hidden dynamics, gain clarity, and discover new possibilities for movement and resolution. His approach is characterized by precision, curiosity, warmth, and deep respect for the wisdom that emerges through the field itself. He can also be a little playful.
